Valentino Zubiri
Valentino Zubiri is undertaking the Origami Crane Project. In Asia, there is a saying where if you fold 1,000 origami cranes your wish comes true. In 1996, he attached the red HIV/AIDS ribbon to the crane, as a symbolic, artistic statement for awareness. His wish was for a cure to be found. He was featured in the media many times then, as he worked with other nonprofit groups in Chicago.
Aside from hoping to collaborate with groups and individuals, Valentino Zubiri will eventually have a few books with artistic statements, stories and pictures of origami cranes sent by people who would like to raise awareness to their causes. The books will be published by Arts Global Impact.
He is also writing books as part of the Memoirs of an Artist Series, plus offshoot book projects related to the series, which will also be published under Arts Global Impact. Thus far, he has Valentino F. Zubiri: Nude Drawings and Paintings from 1995 to 1996 and Healing Lessons from a Psychic Surgeon which have yet to be nationally distributed. For the meantime, we have placed the books in www.lulu.com, for those who would like to have them now.
Valentino F. Zubiri: Nude Drawings and Paintings from 1995 to 1996 is a collection of more than 130 of his crayon nude drawings and paintings, most of which were done on thick, coarse watercolor paper. Watercolor paper to him presented the best grain for his drawing techniques. Because it is thicker, it has lent its durability through time. To date, Mr. Zubiri has kept all of his drawings.
However, the book has served him well. Arts Global Impact has produced and issued free copies of the book as an ebook. The book has been downloaded and shared throughout the world. In just three months, based only on what we are able to track, the book has been seen or downloaded more than 5,000 times. One website which tracks it's traffic, which clearly proves this phenomenon is www.Scribd.com. There, the download keeps increasing everyday, and the Visitor Map shows the different countries that the book has reached. Many users have also shared the book on their own, using their own filesharing methods, which we could no longer track. They are in many different languages from many countries, and the best way to see this is by searching for the file in Google and the other search engines.
Healing Lessons from a Psychic Surgeon is an offshoot of Memoirs of an Artist as a Masseur, the first book from the Memoirs of an Artist Series, which is still being edited. At the same time, Valentino Zubiri will also be collaborating with artist Thomas S. Nelson, for another book in the Memoirs of an Artist Series, Memoirs of an Artist and a Master. Mr. Zubiri is currently editing and will write the introduction for Thomas S. Nelson's first book of his art, Thomas S. Nelson: Selected Works, which will showcase at least 100 of Mr. Nelson's works from the past to the present. All the books mentioned here will be under Arts Global Impact.

Thomas S. Nelson has had decades of art before him, both fine art and illustrative work. We look forward to publishing his series of books.
Raising Funds for Arts Global Impact through
Thomas S. Nelson's Art
At the same time, we are proud to be raising funds with the sale of Mr. Nelson's original art. If you are an art collector, this is your chance to own a Thomas S. Nelson original that will be included in the book, Thomas S. Nelson: Selected Works. The book will have a square format, and it will show at least 100 of Thomas S. Nelson's works.
The good news for collectors is that the artworks are not auctioned. The prices are fixed and will be sold on a first- come, first-served basis. All buyers will also receive a hardbound copy of the book, with a short thank you note, and signed by, Thomas S. Nelson.
One of the purposes of Arts Global Impact is to promote art, and art for awareness, on a worldwide basis. As we gather funds, we hope that we will be able to widely distribute books on art and art for awareness. We hope that school and public libraries will receive our books for free.
